February 2013:

Malcolm Shabazz, the 29 years old grandson of Malcolm X, has accepted Shia Islam. He converted after he read books on history and learnt that Imam Ali was the true successor of the Prophet. He also found out that early muslims oppressed family of Prophet Muhammad. He plans to visit Iran.
American Salafi scholars are angry at his conversion. His family also opposed him.

Malcolm Shabazz was murdered in Mexico on 9 May 2013.

Shabazz wanted to visit Iran. He had plans. But FBI tired to harrass Shabazz. He was arrested and prevented to take a flight to Iran.
